Superb TGD Auto for sale. SOLD to Aussie Frogs

Post by Defender110 » Mon Dec 21, 2015 9:02 am

Regretfully due to an imminent house move in January / February where I will loose my permanent storage I have come to the decision I will need to sell my TGD Auto. It was my intention to keep this car but life has thrown up some unexpected changes which have resulted in the decision to finally let it go.

The car is a very genuine, low mileage, unmolested and unrestored example in excellent all round condition and must be one of the best unrestored BX's available. Having spent it's entire life garaged it remains 100% rust free and in fantastic all round condition. In the last 2000 miles it has had a complete timing belt kit fitted and both rear arm bearings have had the bearings replaced. It will be sold with a full 12 months MOT & serviced ready to go. It has an impeccable service record during it's 72,000 genuine miles.
I am offering it to club members before I advertise it in the new year. I have had to move it out of my heated storage whilst I empty that and it is currently temporarily stored in a film studio where I work in Bolton and can be viewed there in the dry any time that suits.

Please PM if interested.

blimey, that's stunning! Just agrred to buy a C5 estate, but it's gone a tad quiet... if that doesn't work out, I'll give you a shout.
Properly lovely looking car!
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

Yes it is a very fair price, I always like to sell my cars on well and to good homes rather than just simply to make as much as possible out of them. I sold the TZD on at a bargain price to a guy who promised it was a keeper he was going to cherish only for him to quickly sell it on for a quick profit (double what I sold it him for). I am confident the new owner of the TGD auto is buying it to enjoy and preserve it in it's current condition.

Sad day!

Well today was the day Chris Wannop (Aussie Frogs) finally made it over to the UK to collect this TGD Auto. 23 hours travelling plus he had to get the chain saw out before departing as storms at his home had brought down a tree blocking his access off the property. The pictures looked ace, hopefully he will come on here and post them.
Chris contacted me from Melbourne and bought the car unseen in January but was unable to get across for it until now but I was delighted to be able to store the car for him until he could collect knowing he wouldn't be disappointed with this excellent very genuine car.

Hopefully he will jump on here and keep us up to date with his custodian ship of this lovely BX which I will most definitely miss. If it had only been an estate I would have been able to keep it.

Hi All!
Chris Wannop here reporting in that "Chuggington" (what else would you call a Naturally Aspirated Diesel Auto BX?) is doing fine and is currently enjoying life in Windermere where I will be working until at least August next year.
So he hasn't gone far From his previous home in Manchester.
We were Down South in Sussex for a while but he couldn't understand their accents there so we're back "Oop North"!!

We've done about 5000 miles or so, and he's needed only new glow plugs and a rear silencer apart from oil and filter changes to keep him happy.

I am planning to keep him in the UK for the foreseeable future as my car to use when I plan to spend 3 months per year here.
I'm loving how easily he eats up the miles using very little fuel.
Acceleration is "Leisurely" but once he's moving, he gets across country as quick as anything else.

Just thought you'd like to know that he's being well cared for and appreciated for every mile he comfortably covers.

Cheers,
Chris and Chuggington

Hi Chris

By massive coincidence I passed you head on this Friday on the A591 Windermere Rd. I didn't expect to ever see the car again.
