Reasonably tidy 1.9 TGD 77K miles - worying water leak on hose to engine - could be a pain to fix. Reasonable £50 starting price.

Could be a start on the BX rung for someone.

BX 1.9 GTI - 8v, no milage given and seller wants about £300 - short MOT. Not my cup of bovril, but might be yours.

1.9 TizzyDee estate - 179K miles, £95 start no MOT and is listed for spares, so might be worth making an offer after the auction finishes of £30 or so!

1.6 TZS Autobox - £325 with 110K miles and an MOT til April 2007 !!!
Again, not my bag, but looks reasonably tidy. Has those oh so lovely C pillar perspex windows.

DOG OF THE WEEK:

You have to admire / commit the man for trying. £325 for this non MOT'd, starship milage TizzyDee (240K miles). Stood for 2 years - but should sail through its MOT
If anyone knows this seller, please tell him to stop sniffing the vim as its addled his brain.

Couldn't tempt you to have another spares car then? Could imagine the conversation...

And your own personal oil well to feed the Wankel Rotary (oh how I love that name).

Hang on a mo, we're a bit slow up north, are you sticking in an original Birotor or an RX7 lump:?:

Sounds like its an RX7 Wankel - but wasnt this the same as the Birotor?
Will have a sift through some of my Citronean liatature as there is a big piece on the Birotor somewhere.

Tiny engine, lots of power HUGE oil consumption. One of my GP's has an RX8 - lovely car, but being a GP its a bit beyond him to open the bonet every 2nd tank full to top up the oil.

Dunno. I'd have thought the RX7 unit would have more electronic gubbins to help make it tick.

Oh yes, modern cars and their electronics.

Mind you - given the age of the donor car woouldnt that exempt Jon from certain MOT emissions testing? Then surely the Wankel would work anyway - the electronic gubbinery being there more for reasons of emissions and economy than to make it tick?

On the other hand, he could play it safe and do a 1.9TD transplant with ZX subframes and have his HP ZX after all.

Computer says; Dont be so stupid (wanted to add a swear in there, you figure it out!)

1.9td engine conversions with front mounted intercoolers are a silly thing and should not be thought of by fear of being poked with a big sharp pokey thing!
