If I was looking for a decent diesel BX, this is one that I would be seriously considering, but £800 is way too much. I reckon if you waved £400-450 in pound notes in his face he would hand over the keys, although he will probably try negotiating extra for all that Tax!

Dave
We could have had it off him on Saturday there and then for £300! My guessing is another guy from the garage has come in and said it is worth more than that £300, but it isn't worth £800.

Also the number plate says ''Barkers of Preston'' which used to be a big Citroen Showroom on Ribbleton Lane in Preston but is now just an any car dealer.

This car has now been sold, and it's got a spoiler on the back now.

Just bought this car on a deferred delivery for mid June.

http://tinyurl.com/3h7ub5t

In the intervening period of 26 months it has had 2 additional owners (at least), significant work carried out, and covered about 25k miles.

The seller was now in Somerset but he had fetched it from up North.

Anyone here claim previous ownership?

A fuller report will follow when I have my hands on it!

Having made some investigations into the inner wing rot I have now decided to abandon this car as a project.
And the wife wants it off the drive.

I have started to cut out the inner front wings and also discovered that the thermostat housing has a pin hole leak (corrosion of the al body.)

Seems a pity because mechanically it was in good condition.

Anybody interested ? South Herts. SORNed,Will need a trailer as coolant has now escaped.
Scrap value collected £140, but may consider (slightly) less from someone who has the time and enthusiam!.

Surely you can get hold of a 2nd hand thermostat housing for a few quid & all that needs doing is welding the inner wings that rot on every bx at some point in time? Doesn't seem that much effort compared to say someone like Des's St Tropez ;)
