Wanted: BX MK2 AUTO!

Post by Matty »

Hi,

Great site everyone!

Desperately seeking a MK2 BX for a lady friend of mine, she has only ever driven BX Auto's and is disabled and wont drive anything else!

If anyone knows of one i'd be very grateful.

Send any details you may have to matmatey@hotmail.com. Location isn't important for the right car.

Kind regards

Matty

Ideally a petrol the later and lower the mileage the better. But will consider anything, even a GTI Auto. :P

I suspect Chris Salter's BX for sale is completely and utterly out of the question, as the buyer is looking for a late, low miles petrol, and wants "the right car"

... whereas Chris's BX is an early, rather tatty, mega-miles diesel in need of some serious work.

engine.gearbox good, about 100,000 miles only, hydraulic leak around front struts (new struts?) tyres ok, garaged last several months,
very rare spec, repairable,or good for parts, FAR TOO GOOD TO SCRAP! "

i dont consider this mileage to be high

In all honesty I suspect Stuart's ex-BX is a little rattier than he's looking for. Now Matty's got something else to occupy his time now anyway, I think. :)

A GTi Auto, eh? Maybe next year

Thanks

I shall mention it to my friend, 100000 is nothing on a diesel. but I fear she will want something 1990 onwards.

Maybe not, but it's still a rather tatty diesel in need of work. I've driven the car in question, and I really like it, which generally means that 99% of other people will consider it a tatty old heap of crap.

Thanks for your help everyone, after a long debate we have found someone that can re-shell her original car that she has had from brand new.

Cheers
