Late GTi engine for sale

Post by Brian King »

1905cc XU9 J2 D6D (Distributorless) engine. Only 56,000 miles. Was running fine when removed from late model GTi 2 weeks ago. Space urgently needed. Double the price of central locking plip/receiver as advertised here recently but won't fit in a jiffy bag so buyer collects.

That sounds the nice sort of deal that used to prevail on this forum Brian. :D Unlike the plip/receiver that wasn't cheap at half the price!

You'd need the loom already on your car unless you're an electrician

worth a go lol, well something for the future anyway. Im familiar with doing things like that on Fords because pretty much any engine from the same era is plug and play or near enough to make it easy. In fact the electrical side of converting a 1.8 Sierra to a 24v V6 is probably the easiest part!

Cheaper to buy a Gti mate, I know of one for sale if your interested, as mentioned before once its been "modifed" the insurance can get a bit silly.

It was just a flight of fancy really, some engine mods to the 1.6 will be my 1st port of call when mine needs some work....the only BX I will replace this one with is a 16v to be honest!
