Maybe Selling to fund a valver

Post by retrodriver »

I want a quicker BX lol so just seeing if there is any interest in my BX.

16 TGS, MOTd for about 10 months, taxed for about 4 but the tax is negotiable. Its had since my ownership:

Clutch and cable
New pads all round
New rear spheres and accum sphere
2 brake pipes to rear
Repair to fuel tank breather/overflow

It is very solid and rust free, with just a small bit of repair needed inside the nearside rear door shut, the struts are a bit creaky right at the top but otherwise fine. Rear arm bearings will probably want doing in the next couple of thousand miles.

The boot floor is perfect, as are the sills (freshly repainted) and door hinges. Interior is unworn, all present and correct. There are no LHM leaks and everything works fine. Its on about 104k miles now.

It has no PAS but all the electrics work perfectly, comes with very good tyres and some spares. It brakes properly, suspension works properly, albeit in need of some new droplinks, they are a bit noisy but passed MOT and no slack in them. It will come with a radio cassette and 4 speakers too. I have garage bills for about £400 and obviously the cost of what ive done myself. Its not perfect but very very presentable.

Obviously im only selling to fund a 16v so if it doesnt sell then thats fine, just seeing how much interest I get on here before I put it up for general sale, I cant buy a 16v before selling this as I dont have the space or free cash!

Im going to start at about £500 ish for it bearing in mind my investment and its damn good condition, offers welcome.
Alex

Lol i knew letting you loose in the 16v would make you think, Alex I would think about ebay as thats where the cars are fetching the money as of late, finding a home for a 1.6 petrol on here has always been hard.

A shame as they're an easier car to work on for the beginner DIY BXer than, for example a TD, in some ways. Whether the cars are actually finding the money asked for on Ebay is always something open to question - it seems very hit and miss.
Back on two wheels and pedal power for the moment.

Yep Tim its all your fault!

They are good for beginners and having no PAS simplifies it again, I thought I would offer it on here first but eBay is perhaps inevitable!

There's always the one that Kitch is/was selling, here.
He's a decent bloke, and I at least know that the O/S/R door is good, as I found it! :D
