Wanted: fuel filler neck

Post by Philip Chidlow »

Filler neck for a BX (I believe they're all the same) in new or nearly new order. Part number (I understand from a previous thread) is 96127 564

And on the exploded diagram is part '8'.

Part 8 is a seal and costs £5.83 from cit.
The part number you gave is part 2 and costs £39.64 from citroen.

If it's the metal ring you're after I think you'll be very lucky to find a decent one. They are repairable if you're that way inclined.

Thanks for the clarification. 8) Just to make sure: the piece I need is the metal piece that the locking cap engages with: it's got slots for the locking lugs. The one here's beyond redemption, I think, but I'll see what turns up: Maybe someone here'll have a decent one to sell - or I can try Edwards before resorting to Citroen. But if I need to that's what I'll do.

It's annoying it's not listed a a single part, so going by the piccy I'd assume it's part of item 2 - of course it would be the most expensive part too!

I have a spare but it's rather corroded, so no real use.

becareful if you order from Citroen, there are petrol and diesel filler necks, a diesel pump at the petrol station will not fit in the replacement petrol filler neck. I found that one out the hard way!

This is true, and they started to fit those irritating flaps in the last of the run of petrol necks too...
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

But from a 1990/1 diesel: I should be able to use it on the 1990 petrol I guess?

...cheers Kermit, I'll phone later.

Might have got the filler neck sorted.

Contact in Aligne has raided Limoux Scrappy and found a complete neck off a BX14 so hopefully this will be winging its way to me shortly.

Now the next thing...

Has anyone got a spare glovebox lid in black i think.....?

Phil B's coming up to mine in early December with all the bits left over form the stall. I'm going to make a list of what's available and post it up here. If (as I think) there's a lid, I'll put it to one side and in exchange for a small BXagon donation, will send it off Matt.

sounds good to me please put my dibbs on that lol.

Sadly the superglue repair didn't hold as my dad in his eagerness to go for a spin in the St Tropez decided to get in whilst the lid was still in the down position. sigh.

You do realise that you need to drive it to St Tropez sometime.

Lol yes it seems I might have to drive it there and pick up as many parts from the scrap yards down there that I can fit in.
