2 SORNED BXs stil available

Post by jrdpod »

My 2 SORNED BXs are stilll available. 1 J reg Meteor, 1 D reg 17RD in iris blue.
They are both dry stored, and are for spares or repair.
I have a variety of loose spares available as well.
They are located at Colchester, Essex.
Offers are invited, and I would even consider just giving the lot away.
The only two things I ask of prospective buyers/collectors are:
I will only sell/give away the cars complete - ie no splitting for parts.
Any successful buyers/collectors must take away the cars and loose spares themselves.
I'm sure what I've got would be of use to some BX enthusiasts out there !

Regards
John Podgorski/jrdpod.

I've always fancied a 17RD and I'm only a few miles away. Bad time for me though, just bought a new house and have a TZD and a TGD already. Just out if interest though, what condition is the RD in?
Thanks!

More details on the 17rd would be great, i've always fancied a low spec 1.7 n/a diesel, dont know why, just has an appeal about it.

I remember reading "Diesel Car" back in the late 80s when they had a Iris Blue D plate 17RD on long term test, could it be?

Something about the 17rd really appeals to me too. I love low powered cars for some reason and the n/a 1769 engine is so sweet. I guess it even does without power steering....

I'd better be careful, I might talk myself into it.

BX's

Hello there.

I was wondering if there's any pics of these vehicles?

I'm from Halstead, so getting them home wont be an issue. I also have storage and light workshop facilities.

IF there's pics and a general condition of the vehicles available, I'd happily save these.

Stu.

They're not actually that bad to be honest. I had an n/a 1.7 that went reasonably well and was certainly miles better than I thought it would be.

Once for each of the horsepower available?

Seriousley though, the old 17NA is a bloody good little engine for what it is, sweeter than the 19NA aswell.
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

I had a very nice 2 year old one (in about 94 i would guess) and I remember the engine being realy sweet but I never got used to the lack of power steering, grew to hate it and got rid of it within 12 months!
