I have a horrible sickening feeling that I must be wrong about the £300 charge... I will have to talk with Phil about it tomorrow and post back here

  so you caused Medway to get slated by potentially getting the price wrong, apologies but i did find that quite funny when you then sprung to their defence. I guess if you want to set the record straight then posting up the actual cost may make amends to medway.

As for jacksun's car, i'm not particularly interested in that saga as he clearly didnt do his homework before buying, that initself is a valuable lesson, so i dont personally have an opinion on medway as i've never had any dealings.

Back o/t, good luck with your sale, certainly looks like a nice car, hopefully will go to a good home.

If I knew the actual cost - I'm not sure about what I know now - so I'll ask him tomorrow - if he can remember.

What sale? Oh yeah the car....

This gets curiouser - I've just gone back over my bank withdrawals for August last year (when the octopus oozed its stuff), and I withdrew £300.

That's why I can't remember!!! Surely it shouldn't be me feeling shafted though?

I'm going to see another local Citroen specialist today.

I did try to book the car in with my local Citroen main dealer but, to be frank, the first lady I spoke to was just well, uninterested. Two phone calls later they haven't been able to provide me with a quote - as their parts department can't source the spares (a clutch kit for a K1G 14 !!!!) So fuck Hidson's of Rainham, they're obviously not interested in their own heritage. Humphh.

I'm off to Hill's Motors in Wainscott Strood this morning.- independent Citroen specialist with 25years experience.... I'll report back, maybe even in an appropriate thread ;)

I don't know, but remember: in the long run, sex for love is more expensive than sex for money...

On average you don't get as many, pound for pound! (Especially not in Hull.)

Right - in fairness to everyone else I should say I've reduced the price to £400 without tax and £450 with if anyone wants to take a look before I put it on ebay.

It's funny but now that I have to sell the Break I'm appraising it more objectively and I will regret seeing it go - it really is a good car. It's like a different car altogether to drive compared to the 14.

A lady friend has also taken me to task over my description of the interior as pretty good - she says it's not pretty good! I guess the front seats are a bit used looking - they haven't lost their shape though and they don't stain your clothes. It has been used as a workhorse by me on occasion (nothing heavy, mainly leaves and the odd bit of wood for my wood turning). I have cleaned the interior thoroughly and it's quite presentable.

I'll be surprised if doesn't make a fair bit more that £400-450 on ebay, but I could do without that hassle ;) The car is currently not advertised anywhere else, and I'm only offering it at this price in the spirit of the bxclub. Once it goes on ebay I'll just let the auction run to the end, so this offer is only valid until tomorrow.

Nice to hear the old hirl is still going, hope it finds a nice home with someone who will look after it. I'm sure the car has many more years of use left in it!

Hello Roody252 - yup still going strong, and has plenty of life left yet.

I think if it wasn't for financial and parking constraints I'd still have every car I've ever owned. I'd certainly keep the Break because it's got such a good load space and just goes and goes...

Cheers
Steve
