BX ready Xantia engine

Post by artic-steel »

I have a 1.9 Turbo Xantia engine for sale, currently sitting in a BX estate so ideal for anyone thinking of a conversion, (i believe you have to change the head due too different HP pumps).

Runs fine but will need the leak off pipes replacing as they are weeping.

Located in North Wales, you are welcome to come & hear it running before i remove it.

£80 collected.

It's actually simpler than that - all you need is a camshaft from a BX to put into the Xantia head. As it happens I have a N/A camshaft spare (actually I have two but one is earmarked for Jaba) that the buyer can have, and I'm located in North Wales too! I have a N/A cam in my Xantia engined BX, which gives me more torque off boost and works well.

How's tricks anyway Andy?

I'm good thank you Matt,

Very kind offer of the camshaft but it shouldn't need one, it must already be converyed as it is currently in my TZD estate, running & rising fine.

Ah, of course. I remember this, it's Billy's old one so the work to BXify it has been done - ideal for a donor! IIRC when he bought it the engine was literally brand new a year or so before he got it, but the rest of the car wasn't great?

I can happily confirm that engined worked VERY well in that estate. That was a bloody quick car and no mistaking.

73 miles is sod all. Once you're on the A5 near Shrewsbury you'll be at Wrexham in about 30 minutes at absolute most.
