I quite fancy parking it outside the house one evening, stripes and all, just to see the look on SWMBO's face.......

....matched by the look on my face when she hands me my knackers on a plate, I suppose.

No, musn't think it...

Iain, can't believe you are selling this and I don't have the cash to buy it!!!

have you still got your CX? I drool after that car but sadly am still skint! -
Nope. CX long gone.

Oscar - my wife loves it. Worth the risk I reckon!

Now has two brand new tyres fitted. I do have a couple more than could come with it for a little extra, as the two that are left on it are a little on the low side (but still legal).

Are the green stripes stickers, or worse?

Now with six months tax, because I'm an idiot. Clearly it wasn't April that the tax was due to run out!

Sadly it seems you're either destined to keep the old girl (and what's wrong with that?) or plonk it onto eBay or the like. If you do advertise on there, make sure you include pics of it on the BXagon as it was such a memorable and pertinent reminder of how this is essentially a cracking car. And you'll get a decent price too, I'm sure.

Agreed, I think ebay is the place, if you do though, I would remove the stickers etc as it will put some more "sensitive" types off.

Car and Classic?

Or also show photos without stickers, and offer to remove them if they buyer wants?

Ebay probably is best if you need it gone - some vehicles do get bid up to more than you'd expect...

This is the strangest sale of a car ever to be honest. I don't mind if I end up keeping it - but if I do, I think it'll be getting run into the ground. There's corrosion flaring up on the LH rear wing. I might just keep it (especially now I've taxed it - a fair chunk of the asking price!) and see what happens come MOT time.

I can't really be doing with Ebay because of the number of complete idiots you have to deal with when selling a cheap motor, and because it's bloody expensive when you're selling something with no value.
