Parts book wanted

Post by KevR »

Does such a thing exist, or are they microfiche only? Need one to cover a 1990 and 1991 TZD estate.

I've got parts books for pretty much everything else I've got, and they're really useful. Would love to have the same for the BX.
1990 BX TZD Estate ('the grey one', 1991 BX TZD Estate ('the white one'), 1982 2CV6 Charleston (in bits), 1972 AZU Serie B (2CV van), 1974 HY72 Camper, 1990 Land Rover 110 diesel LWB, 1957 Mobylette AV76, 1992 Ducati 400SS, 1966 VW Beetle, 1990 Mazda MX-5, 1996 Peugeot 106D, 1974 JCB 2D MkII, 1997 BMW R1100RS, 1987 Suzuki GSX-R1100, 1978 Honda CX500A, 1965 Motobecane Cady, 1988 Honda Bros/Africa Twin, 1963 Massey Ferguson 825, and a lot of bicycles!

Never seen a full parts book for the BX, only microfiche, although there were binders for fast moving parts and main body panels. Better to register with the Citroen parts website at http://service.citroen.com and get access to all the BX parts information that was included on the microfiche.

Kevin

I presume you already have this pdf............
http://pepon1.free.fr/CITROEN%20BX_fichiers/BX-PL.pdf

Its petrol of course but is nevertheless a usefull resource as all the non-diesel engine parts are common.
The Joy of BX with just one Citroën BX to my name now. Will I sing Bye Bye to my GTI or will it be Till death us do part.

I've got an EPC (electronic parts catalogue) bought off Ebay, something like this:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/CITROEN-TIS-EPC-W ... 1c131eceb1

It was a bit of a fiddle to load on the computer and to navigate around but it's been a boon to me trying to ID all the parts from a job lot from their part numbers. It also has the workshop manuals for the same vehicles included. Gibbo.

Thanks everyone - I didn't know of any of those options. I've got an EPC for my MX-5 and as Gibbo says, it's a bit fiddly to get installed but does come in handy.

Me too - but there seems to be bits missing - such as the wiring diagrams. Are they included in the 2008 version - I think mine's a 2009 so they may have been deleted from the TIS by then.

They're on mine but they take a lot of finding and when you do find them you need to be a scientist to understand them. :( . Gibbo

I'm sure Brian can just about manage to get his head around such complexities?

TV systems - no problem, fire and gas shutdown systems - easy peasy, anything else except radar - in my sleep, car circuit diagrams - UUURRRGH. Even the Haynes Citroën manual has a very small print note saying to the effect that 'these diagrams are typical of what you can expect to find' - and they are direct copies of the official Citroën manual. The little widget I was fiddling around with last week (coolant low device) is not to be found on any of the CCT diagrams I have !

Quite apart from Citroën's 'green wire syndrome' 'just about' is pretty close to the truth
