FS BX electrical gubbins UPDATED
I'm about to have a rather large throw out of BX electrical bits, i'm rapidly loosing favour with storage facility (dads' garage!). This is a typical example of what i'm talking about, though there is more than this;

Hi Vanny,
I'd be interested in the multi-switch (white circle) and possibly the green circled foglamp switch. I'd like to fill the little switch panel on the right hand side of the steering column -the one that is low down at about the same level as the dash lighting contol - do these switches and any others you have fit that little oblong panel ?
Cheers,
Brian.

Yes, they will do. There is still space for another switch (a man can never have enough switches!) which on mine has the light for the trailer indicator flasher bulb.
I'd be interested in some of your relays please Vanny, I'm after 4 standard and one changeover (5 pin) for a little project I have on the go...

My thoughts entirely Thanks for confirming for me that these are the right switches for the little panel.(a man can never have enough switches!)
I recognise the problem Long time back I had the chance of some electronics kit at a very good price but nowhere to put it so I asked dad if there was any space in his workshop. "Tell you what" he said, "I do have some space spare to store MY wheelbarrow" which I took as a subtle hint that I should perhaps return iti'm rapidly loosing favour with storage facility (dads' garage
And on the same theme... working for the MOD in the late 60s, a workmate came up to me and said "Do you know the difference between 'recall' and 'recollect' ? " I had no reply and asked for clarification. "Well" he said, "I recall lending you my sidecutters but I don't recollect you returning them"

Hi Vanny,
Something very strange is going on with private messages...
Your original message didn't get through - no worries
Your second one did
I replied last night to that one
This morning I checked my outbox - last night's message not there
Sent new reply this morning
Immediately check my outbox to confirm it was sent
Opened the sent message - It contained the text from last night's message ! !
The date and time sent were correct for this morning but the text was the message I sent last night !
So... whoever is sorting that lot out - the very best of luck
PS I also sent you a message to explain as above - but that didn't appear in the outbox hence posting here instead.

lateestate, i have two in black, one is definately broke, the other is a total unknown. If you can wait till next week then i'll check them?
Jacksun, I think your asking about the plip receiver that lives in the roof. I think i have a receiver, but i don't have the matching plip, so i dont think this is of any use to you. There are instructions online on how to convert to an RF plip from Maplins. This would give you greater range, greater reliability and you wouldn't need a matching pair (you program the plip to the car). Try searching within the forum.
