TWO BXS FOR SALE (FREE MK1)
Just had a lovely old fella ring me up from the CCC, he has two BXs he wants rid off, sadly hes now wheelchair bound and cannot drive.
1. 1988 BX 19TRI estate in magnetic blue, manual, 197000 miles, good condition im told, LHM leak from FDV he thinks, working ABS. Obviously very rare car nowadays. No mot.
£200 ono.
2. 1984 BX 16RS/TRS 5 door hatchback, in red, 80000miles, in rough condition, hasnt been used for years, cab missing (webber and I have a spare) FREE OF CHARGE if you take it away. He was unsure of the model but as it has PAS I assume its a 16TRS.
Think he would prefer they both go to a good home, maybe the MK1 is only good for parts (Phil Graeaves?)
Located in BS31 Bristol
Contact me for number, no timewasters etc please as hes an old disabled man.

1984 Citroen BX 16TRS restored and now with fully functional power steering..!
1994 Citroen Xantia 1.9 TD SX (Jan 1994, no airbags but antisink fitted)
ha ha or even Greaves
interesting but im no where near bristol and the only part i could think of removing (presuming the interior/front seats are well worn??!) is the carb...which is apprently different to mine and missing anyway!
If anybody strips it for parts then i might be intereted in smaller items such as rubber/plastic trim bits. Although again logically these too are bound to be worn/broken/worse than mine too given that the mileage is greater than mine.
Tim, havent you always wanted a mark 1 16 trs? (!) see facebook/photobucket for the joys which await you!!
Then you can drive your own for the feature....(tempted yet...)
erm...its free so you cant loose money on it*
erm...i know of a good garage to do it up...
* please note this is in no way a guarantee..

I have too many cars, one is already a lovely Mk1, I cant afford a project and like your im miles from bristol, plus a rotten BX is beyond my skills.
I have a spare weber carb from a mk1 16TRS if anyone needs it.
Phil this is probably an exact same car as yours, maybe an opportunity you cant afford to miss?
I did 250 miles in one day to get parts for my GT!

From what I can gather its a return pipe not a HP one, but he was rather vague and couldnt remember the reg number of either car. It sounds like the MK1 is rather far gone, however the only way to find out is to take a look. The old gent doesnt have a computer or digicam and is pretty much house bound so taking photos etc is no go sorry.

I think that Richard is right photos etc would be very good to establish the condition etc. It might be worth saving..or it might be valuable for parts or just worthless. Is there anyone who could give it a quick check? Has it been garaged Tim or left sitting in a field/garden etc whilst unused?
If it is only suitable for parts then id be more than willing split it with someone so to speak but it would be pretty expensive to do bearing in mind id have to pay my mechanic to trailer it back. This is of course presuming that theres some useful parts there- call me a cynic. Dont suppose you know if its got a grey interior do you? (!)
Go on Richard put it back on the road- it'd be nice to have two mk1 bxs in the area especially in the same colour/spec.
[P.S is your Fuego grey?]

I,ll try and save any Bx if i can.I had a silver Fuego turbo for quite a while but the one ive still got is a red TS model.

Someone mentioned a citroen specialist in Holmfirth. Is that M&M ? I went to a CCC meeting in my St Tropez but didnt get their tel number. There is also a Citroen/Pug breakers in Hebden Bridge who i use called Whiteheads. If anyone needs their number im sure i can dig it out. He,s got a TZD which has been up at his house .He said it was coming down to the yard and i must get in touch and go and have a nosey.
Richard.

If the '84 is used for spares then your carb and this manifold should definitely get together - the manifold for the Weber is certainly rare. Get a diaphram and seals kit from http://www.fastroadcars.co.uk/I have a spare weber carb from a mk1 16TRS if anyone needs it.

that was me Richard, attempting to send a pm about the garage now- internet keep cuting out.
id like to see the one at Bristol get saved too- especailly if its coming up here to Yorkshire! By the way that garage i recommended does vehcle recovery Richard...
But if worse comes to worse then there may be some parts off it that i could use:
-Rubber bits
-plastic bits
-badges
-drivers door (although im probably better off sourcing one off a later model thats closer to home)
-front seat/s if theyre useable/uncollapsed. could they even be the same??
So is there anyone in that area who can check it out for us? I think someone above mentioned 'Doc'? Presume thats a username and theyre arent actually a doctor- shame as i need one of those!!!
Also i meant to ask before how many mark 1 bx are left? or that is to say are known to the club?
My reason for asking about the Fuego is that my dad had two of them.
