I,ll post pics of my visit as i know Phil is after trim/interior etc for a Mk1.
Lifting it will depend on its condition,if its already goosed then chaining it through doors isnt going to matter but if theres a glimmer of its being saved then other options will have to be explored.
Cant say till ive been,Richard.

I went yesterday to see the cars.and these are some of the photos.
The Mk1 is a gonner! although would give a useful source of spares for Phil. The car was locked with no keys and i didnt want to force anything trying to get things open but the interior is a tan colour and is wasted!.
The estate runs and sounds sweet and although looks pretty good structurally ,the body is rough.
The issue of getting the Mk1 out of the rear garden/field is a problem with a high hedge and overhead cables making it a tricky job but possible with a skilled Hi-ab operator.
Any questions just drop me a line.
Richard.

The Mk 1 is indeed knackered - look at the rusty hole on the driver's door at the top! Sitting in the grass will mean it has a rotten floor too. Scrap and therefore not worth the cost of hiab-ing out. Best left where it is to return to nature.
My first BX (D328 PUS) was the same colour as the estate! It was a lovely car - I took it from 40k to 196k and it was still on clutch one. Sold and not scrapped for a few more years, by which time it had reached 240k and still on clutch 1.

The scrap Mk1 shares its field with a Austin A40 Devon, and 3 Landrovers one of which is the rare Forward control type. All needing new homes.
The Mk1 is toast, the interior is wrecked and the metal panels are shot but a good scource of trim parts etc.
The only way to remove it is over the hedge.
I love "finding" forgotten vehicles and if antone wants can put on pics of the other "resting" vehicles.

Wow, what a find, shame about the MK1, but as you say its probably a good source of parts, is it metallic, i cant tell its so faded. Has a sunroof too which is rare. Does the TRI run, I think a good clean wouldnt go a miss.
I imagine the A40 is rotten too by now, they are rare now.

It looks like a solid maroon.Beige interior(whats left of it) but i imagine switches etc may be useful. Its a 16TRs and the carb is present so im told .
The TRI is bashed about and very rough on the paintwork especially to roof and tailgate. Its parked so close to the garden wall i couldnt tell how bad the N/S is .Interior should clean up ok.Good inner wings .Engine sounds sweet and started pretty well.
Richard.

A40 Devon was a decent motor - and that's an early one - it does look beyond resto though.
I think a repairable FC Landy cab and chassis should still be worth £££s though - might be an idea to find someone interested in that with the rider that they get everything else out of the garden at the same time ?
Or get one of the Landys going - make hole in hedge...
Kidding
Good pics BTW - worth waiting for even on dialup
Good luck with the project.

That's got to be a record surely at 204K mine's on clutch 3 - and I think that's quite normal !by which time it had reached 240k and still on clutch 1.

Vehicle Colour MAROON
! So maroon fades to Venetian red - that's handy
I think Citroën had some strange issues with paint - the paint code under my bonnet says it's Furio red - but the original owner's handbook has 'Venetian red' written in the front - and Ven red it is ! The side of that MK1 looks to me more like Furio red - a few clicks darker than Ven.
(Haven't forgotten Tim - still looking for that VIN No. )
