Looks like scrap to me - but then I'm fussy

Without validation for the mileage I'd suspect a dash change at some stage. You never know though!

(PS I'm only kidding, I don't care what you call it, one parking warden once called it White, and no i didn't correct him at the time!)

Well the guy who bought my GT did! he even paid extra for tinted windows and £150 for a Sharp Stereo aswell, i expect he was "of a certain age". Looking back at the early 80s, beige was quite popular. We had two Sierras, both in coral beige.

Sharp stereo? I never knew BX's came with Sharp audio.. cool!
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

Sharp Audio was always rubbish Doc :) (im biased cos' my old dad ran a car stereo/security shop from 78-01)

As for beige (or ivory) its AWESOME.

My mum had a 16TRS in that colour on a D plate when i bought my first citroen (a dyane)

Save it :D

I tend to agree. Unfortunatly with a car that looks like that (and BX's dont set prices on fire even when great condition) id say it was weih in value plus what the remaining tax and test are worth to someone. Makes it about 200-300 quid max in my book.

Having said that, if i needed a cheap BX to use and not worry about then id be happy to pay that.

Thats not rust thats metal moth very difficult to irradicate successfully.
Once infested with this very agressive pest it is almost impossible to get rid of.
The only treatment is to cut out and replace with clean metal all the infected areas.
But there is a limit to how much you can cut out in one go.

bx 19trs for sale

Post by medwaycitroen »

hello all

yes the poor bx is not in the best of health, body wise, but ive seen worse bought back from the brink - my dyane spilt in two, and is now whole again (and it was the body not chasis not spilt in half - a giant crack through the windscreen piller down to the floorpan !)

We are selling it on behalf of this old customer, so if someone has a look but thinks it to much cash you can make a offer which we will relay to her.

the tax is 31/12/2010
mot 21/01/2011

milage dates: (from mot's)

1992 - 36,954
1993 - 2428 (yes I know)
1994 - 5031 (i still know)
1995 - 8678
1996 - 11057
1997 - 13819
1998 - 15941
1999 - 18409
2000 - 20616
2001 - 23031
2002 - 25207
2003 - 27183
2004 - 29268
2005 - 31029
2006 - 32699
2008 - 35056
2009 - 36545
2010 - 37957

so mileage stands at 74,911 at a guess of a speedo change in 1993 - only found this out just now when going through its papper work, still not bad for a bx this age

anymore more questions please ask - or come and see her and save a bx

thanks
remy
