Wanted: New or nearly new PR and other bits?

Anyone got or know where I can get a new or refurbished/known good PR from? It's just that now, my BX clicks very regularly - every 5 or 6 seconds sometimes - and although the accu sphere's a new (and good) Xantia (I think) one and there's no other issue I can trace, it's weeping a bit. Now I've had all leaks fixed - oil, water and LHM, small though they were, this one needs looking at. (The FDV's fine).

I'm also after a NEW fuel pump (8v GTi - so electric), and fuel rail pressure regulator. I also want a new radiator, but eBay has them quite regularly.

There's usually a new petrol one on ebay, £130 though I think.

The PR from my TD is still in boot. That had a tick time of about 1 minute 15 seconds.
It's only in the boot because I replaced the engine / gearbox c/w PR and shit and it was all good.
Yours if you want it.
Bear in mind the PR is only one piece of a larger puzzle that dictates what the tick time will be. Hows the dosiuer valve, rear suspension cylinders etc?

Pumps come up on the bay from time to time..
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

Doseur valve isn't that old (mind you it should still be double checked), but Dennis has narrowed the issue down to the PR, but even then, Dennis being Dennis, says he would leave it alone so long as I can put up with fast rate of ticking lol!

Does a fast ticktime actually cause any issue?

I was wondering if it would kill off the accy sphere quicker or put more pressure on other parts of the hydraulic system?

doesn't kill the accy sphere off, but it does make the pump work harder than it needs to, hence doesn't really help longevity.

There's a whole list of shit that can affect tick time, infact I'm sure there was a thrad on here covering that subject a while back.

Doseur valve, rear susp. cylinders, HC's, the list is almost endless!

I seem to remember something about it as well. So is it worth finding out whether to fix the problem or just put up with it wearing your pump out quicker? & how much quicker will it need replacing?

When I got my 16v the tick time was between 3 and 4 seconds... Then the Doseur started to leak. With a new one fitted, the it would only tick every minute or so, and the car stayed up for about 3 days.

The problem with mine is that it was like this for many years (at least five), and the pump is rather tired now, i'd say probably because it had to work so hard... So i'd say try to find the problem if you can.

What about that old trick of tapping the ball bearing behind the acc with a brass drift. A fave fix of Jeremy's I recall.

Every five seconds is excessive - any other clues, back sinking rapidly, excessive flow from any of the returns ??
