Groliffe - scrapped

Post by Oscar »

If anyone wants any bits off of it, they have until 10.30 Sunday am to get around here and take them off. First come first served and all that.

I'll be selling the plip & receiver, and the headlight protectors, separately.

Thanks to everyone who expressed an interest and who encouraged me but I now need rid of this thing and it's time for it to go.

It's now got temporary insurance til the end of the month, so I guess that will be the timescale. That's cost £60, so I'll want to cover that, the price of the diesel, and a margin for my grey hairs. If I don't get serious offers I shall drain the diesel and scrap it.

And now my teeth hurt! grrrr!

That's a shame Oscar. Fwiw if you do scrap it I'd get the interior out and offer it on here or eBaY it as leather is rare for a BX.

Out of interest, is it hard to recolour leather seats?

Is this that pretty vile coloured interior Tom had from eBay once? If so the seats themselves looked nice (from what I remember) but the colour was pretty vile.

I liked the look of it when I saw it at Straford last year, actually preferred it to the black! (Although I may have been *slightly* merry, at the time it looked a decent car).

They\'re not original BX leather seats, they\'ve been retrimmed proffesionally AFAIK. Only saw them briefly, but looked a good job.

Do you mean they are from another model, but made to fit the bx, or that they are a normal set from a bx that have been reupholstered?
