The clumbsy wife managed to break mine on sunday, ramming it full of her rubbish
Im after a glove box lid with both hinges intact. Its the darker of the two blue/grey ones available from a 1990 TGD.
Can anyone help please

Someone mentioned recently that they did a fix with a brass hinge....
I'm fairly sure there's one on a bx at Medway Citroen, but I also remember being quoted £50 for a replacement

That was me
I do actually have a spare glovebox but I'm not sure whether the colour matches the description - and it's quite grubby as well. When I get a mo I'll give it a good clean and take another pic. I'm not sure if pics of the brass hinge mod will show anything but I'll see if I can take something sensible.

If you PM me your phone number I'll pass it on to someone near me who does have a grey one - I'm certain he won't want £50 for it either!
I have a black spare but I'd rather hang onto it just in case.

I wonder if anyone other than Rover drivers actually keep gloves in their glove box? Mine holds binoculars and spare bulbs.

Doesn't need to be (over) full to do this, due to the silly design if a pen or a charger lead drops into the open gap, the leverage on closing the lid is sufficient to break the hinges before you realise there is an obstruction there.

I'm so glad someone else keeps binoculars in theirs, the girlfriend was suspicious about why they were there for ages...

I used to keep all sorts in there - torch, spare HP pump belt etc. Now I've got a proper lid on it there's just the sat-nav charger
