A few odds and sods needed for MOT
Got the usual....an oddball list of things needed for the re-MOT on the valver. Thanks to anyone who can help;
I need:
2x Front seat belts stalks (mk2 square type peg on seat belt). Don\'t ask me why that yet AGAIN they\'ve gone (last ones wouldn\'t latch....these ones latch but won\'t release!)
1x Driver\'s door check strap, as I took mine off to do some welding on the A-pillar, and promptly lost it!
2x Spring clips that hold the heater cables into the back of the control panel
1x Electric mirror control switch (although I must have one of these buried somewhere!)
Theres one other small thing too, but for the life of me I can\'t remember! I might have my memory jogged tomorrow when I see it at work but can\'t think right now. Theres so much wrong with it I don\'t think I can remember every little issue!
Cheers to anyone who can help.

I've got the check strap (although it's in white)and mirror switch if nobody else finds theirs...
Why do the seat belts always go like this? I've had three sets like this. I tried going to a dealer to buy a pair, and was quoted £150, "because we can't sell them separate of the full set".
The permanent solution is to buy a Phase 1

A blast out with compressed air preferably with the stalk removed and upside down often cures the seat belt problem, they collect a lot of poop in there over the years.

Correction, i've got the mirror switch and the check-strap but no cable clips (got 2 spare control panels but neither have the clips).
With regard to the seatbelt stalks, i've finally managed to get mine to release today (even though the red bit broke) and can confirm it's just a build-up of crud causing the problem. I'd suggest unbolting it from the seat and hanging it out the door into a bucket of boiling water and give it a damn good rattle to shake all the crap out!
I on the other hand (having broken mine) have dissected one of the spare rear buckles i have and am bretty sure the fronts are easily repaired. Watch this space...
I might be down your way on friday looking at a caravan Kitch so give me a shout if you want these bits dropped in.

Thanks all, I\'ll try the stalks trick with some compressed air at work on Monday. Otherwise I might be tapping you up Doc.
The other part was the smaller shit shield that goes in the arch. Not the big liner type one, the little one which covers up the gearbox end cover on the N/S. Haven\'t had one for ages and I\'m getting alot of crap on things I shouldn\'t get crap on!
Jay: Let me know what you want for the gear and I\'ll sort you out. Unless you want to exhange tem for grit blasted pats....we\'ve got one at work and I love grit blasting anything I can find!
Mat: Collected two more TV brackets for disection the other day!
Cheers

Still need a check strap and a seat belt stalk. I\'ve managed to get mine working again but I\'m not confident in it, and I had to reassemble it with insulation tape, which is generally not a good sign!
Also still looking for the mirror switch as the spare I found also doesn\'t work! And the shit shield for the NSF wheel (little bit that covers the gearbox end cover, not the main liner).
Cheers to anyone who can help!
