does anyone know of any places where i can get 1 of these or has anyone got 1???
ive tried citroen, pleiades and aep direct in scotland and all my local motor factors but i have had no luck .

cheers for the replies and yes it has air con and the tensioner bearing is breaking down and rather than a recon and poppin a new bearing into it i would rather get a new 'en, and i will get some pics up soon

The alternator swings on its bracket, but the tension is taken up by that slotted piece of steel ( alternator slide?) underneath with a 90 degree angle in the end. This is what I thought this post was referring to.
If it is this piece - should be straightforward to repair or fabricate if you could get a pattern of course. I don't think it was used on other BXs but perhaps Peugeot 405 MI6 - or are they even harder to find these days?

The tensioner you require is NLA, however, you can use a cut down XUD cam belt tensioner bolted to the sump, there's a thread on here featuring said mod, although it's location and exact details escape me at the moment!
