Tension lug? Alternator slide?

On Service Citroen there's a pic but it's not listed as available.

Is yours broken or missing?

Welcome along by the way. How about some pics and info about you and your 16v..

All my valver engine parts tend to come from these lovely people;

http://www.fpsdistribution.com/

i dont think they sell direct to the public, but they are national so you might be able to find a local garage who deals with them.

unless your car has AirCon then it doesn't have a tensioer on the alt belt.
The alternator swings on it's bracket..

Unless I'm missing something?

The alternator swings on its bracket, but the tension is taken up by that slotted piece of steel ( alternator slide?) underneath with a 90 degree angle in the end. This is what I thought this post was referring to.

If it is this piece - should be straightforward to repair or fabricate if you could get a pattern of course. I don't think it was used on other BXs but perhaps Peugeot 405 MI6 - or are they even harder to find these days?

I'm very jealous now! Lovely looking valver with AC..

The tensioner you require is NLA, however, you can use a cut down XUD cam belt tensioner bolted to the sump, there's a thread on here featuring said mod, although it's location and exact details escape me at the moment!
