Can any body else confirm that there are 5 fixing points, the 4 10 mm nuts,by the injectors and the 13 mm set screw on the side bracket.I pride myself on being "handy" with a hammer and prisy things like crow bars, but this thing defies my best efforts.Any suggestions on how to get it off in 1 piece, gratefully accepted.BTW,I have no access to a blow torch and the like
There are two brackets that hold the manifold in place, one is by the throttle body, and the other is near the hydraulic pump, both are not easily to see and consequently easily missed if your not familiar with this engine.
ooh ooh! could this be the missing link :P

I checked the brackets, the one under the throttle body had already been removed.I've had another go with my trusty pole and bent it.I think you can safely say that the manifold is not coming off

no luck at PR. They did have a XU9J2, from a PUg they tell me, although it's obviousley a BX lump, but it got skipped a couple of days after I was last there...

Dunno if I have missed something here but there are two 6mm allen head bolts holding the manifold on as well. Their recesses get filled with debris. Maybe they've been overlooked ???
