Pre-eBay offer

Post by Philip Chidlow »

Hi I'm going to be clearing out a few items.

Some are for collection only (but I will bring to the National if you can wait that long), but some I will post.

Scorpion, stainless steel back box and tail pipe for a 16v - although I think it'll fit 8v? Not sure... £45 pick up only.

Genuine new, old stock Mk. 2 facelift back bumper in primer (no fittings) £48 pick up only (and I'm not sure I'll be able to carry it to the National).

Front flexis (Genuine Citroen, part number 95 632 790) for (please check) ABS models I think. £12.50 each incl. p&p

I've got a pair of Graphite Speedlines in need of a bit of a refurb; tyres are not brilliant. £7.50 each.

Pair of (used) genuine rear mudflaps (hatch) with fittings - although they'll need freeing up maybe, but I am soaking the metal bits in oil). £15 the pair BUT I will have to check cost of p&p

Strut return pipes (Genuine Citroen, part number 95 622 818) x2. £13.50 each including p&p

Camshaft oil seal: 0236.44 £3.50 incl. p&p

Oil pressure switch: £3.80 incl. p&p

GV gaiters (ABS models) x2 £6 each incl. p&p

I have some rear lights and headlight(s) which I will list on here later. Along with a Sony radio cassette/CD changer head unit with matching 10-disc CD auto changer (and all the leads) that I was going to fit to the BX. I also have some genuine 1990 Audioline shelf speakers/pods. Obviously I bought it all in good faith and was informed it was all working. So assume it works but bear in mind, I am not 100% sure. I know the head unit was tested prior to sale in particular. That BX-suited ICE set up owes me £49. Anyone interested? :)

Finally, Tim recently sold me a brand new matching pair of Mk2 faclift rear lights in grey. They are Valeo ones and the dog'd doodahs. I paid £25 so if you can collect them all I want is that money back. A bargain. The only stipulation being they are for your use and not to sell on for an instant profit lol!

Are the GV(!) gaiters genuine Citroen? If so I'd be interested - I have a pair of driveshafts to refurb at some point.

Hi Phil, I'd be interested in the rear mudflap fittings if it turns out that someone else just wants the mudflaps.

When I refurbed the rear mudflaps on the TGD I removed all the bolts and tapped larger threads as appropriate (5 or 6 mil IIRC) then I reassembled using stst nuts and bolts.

I'm looking for a couple of the little reflectors for the mudflaps I'm currently refurbing - and here's a tip for anyone doing the same - to get the little reflectors in and out easily put the mudflap in hot water- which softens the rubber enough to do that.

These are the standard later moulded/contoured ones with Citroen in white lettering on them.

Richard, if you want the Scorpion back box will you arrange pick up?

There is a chance that, if my GTi doesn't meet reserve on eBay, we may well be 'forced' to keep it (no arm-twisting) for the time being, rather than sell for nowt. In which case I might keep a hold of Tim's rear lights and the rear bumper. Oh, and the stereo.

This is not in keeping with my plans but I'm not totally heartless, and I won't see the car deteriorate on my watch.

Well, the BX is staying. Liz wants to keep it, (so she's obviously go more sense than me!). That means I will only be wanting to sell certain items;

Importantly the back box is still available, so Richard, if you want it, contact me re: arrangements. I've got someone else keen to have it too, so make it as soon as practical? Thanks!

Matt, you can have the CV gaiters, but I need to check they're genuine items. I'll get back to you.

Thanks Phil. I've had some dodgy quality pattern rubber parts in the past, hence on the lookout for OE.

I will. My head still tells me to buy a TD ZX/Xsara or whatever. But my heart - and Liz - won't let me. And really, there's a hell of a lot more right with the GTi than wrong with it :)

Mat, the gaiters are part number 3293.91, genuine PSA ones. I feel embarrassed though in that I offered them for £6 each incl. P&P when it should of said plus P&P, but that's my oversight! If you want them they're yours for £12...

Richard, if you want the Scorpion back box, I would need you to let me know what you have arranged re: pick up as soon as poss as I have had a few enquiries! If you PM me I can let you have my bank details so you can arrange payment, as PayPal are too pricey!
