BX 14RE For Sale

Hi All,
Am selling my trusty reliable 14, it has a full test on it, tax is out at end of Feb, has got new rear arm bearing on nearside, new discs and pads front and rear.
Clocked 110 thousand miles, bright red, bodywork excellent for age.

Drivers seat bit tatty and one of tailgate shelf string hooks broken.
Reluctant sale but putting CX back on the road.

£900 or near offer, as you will all agree these carb models are rare now.

What year is it? I do think £900 is going to be a hard sell, if its really tidy you MAY get £500.

1988 i think, If i am right it used to be yours?

Just trying to recover some funds where i can, spent a bit on it.

E103 CVX Bought it off a friend of mine, is it Tim Leech?

Hi Scott, Tim Leech here, Roverman is my nickname, glad to here shes going strong! What bits have you done? I knew the rear arm bearings were wearing a bit.

For all those not in the know this is the earlier gerbox in sump type engine so indeed very rare.

As mentioned new rear arm and bearing n/s, some return pipes on front, couple of brake pipes, part of exhaust, pads and discs all round think thats it.

Pulls like a train and as you know of course looks pretty good for its age.

If that's the same car on Ebay, knowing what I paid for mine, and knowing the comparative conditions & rarities, I'd say the starting bid is about its value!

Way overpriced, but any decent BX is worth £500 of anyone's money these days.
