I dont think it really matters as long as we are not just slagging someones pride and joy off. The car is on Ebay now and will surely find its value and either sell or not?
Everybody has a right to an opinion and there are some very knowledgable people on this forum who,s advice can be taken or not .

I wasn't aware that i have been slagging off peoples cars that they have advertised on here, if i have, then i'll hold my hands up. All i've suggested is a realistic value, but like kitch says, perhaps if they aren't asking for a valuation then me/we shouldn't comment. Scotty, if you're still reading all this crap, i wouldn't worry about it, you want to sell your car & get the best price, i know exactly how you feel, thats why i advertised my Gti off the forum to get a better price tbh, which i think i achieved.

The difficulty with selling anything on this forum is that we've already got a car or two or even more, so its more likely to be sold off the forum.

It's not that straightforward though is it? There are those that join this forum not owning a BX because they have made a conscious decision they want one and look to guidance from those enthusiasts here that are better aware towards buying one.

There are then those that join this forum only to sell a car and will not be continuing as enthusiasts for the BX. This is not wrong but if what they are offering is deficient in any way or is overpriced, they cannot complain if this is pointed out; this is a forum after all, not "Exchange & Mart".

So on balance I would say posts made should be in the interests of the bona-fide members in it for the longer term which is surely what the forum is set up for.

Mathew , I don't see anywhere you have slagged off someones car and I am pretty sure I wasn't but if I feel someone has given an inaccurate description I will state my oppinion in the interest of others.

I guess Scotty isn't frequenting this forum at the moment but if it's Ven Red I would be interested in a tailgate and a door... no idea how I would recover them from wherever up North the car is, but if anyone has any ideas feel free to chip in

On the other hand if someone will buy it and keep it whole, that would be best!
