Values on a 14E leader?

Post by smiffy1071 »

Yup, how much do you guys reckon a 14E leader might be worth? I know it is E reg, not very high mileage, and has sat in a garage for the last 12 years. I gather it's bodily in good condition.
It's owned by a colleague of mine at work, and there's no danger of it going anywhere anytime soon!
Any ideas?

It's probably worth a couple of hundred tops as is. I might be interested.

Agreed, its worth £150 scrap value, so a bit over that, worth checking what engine it has a they changed to the "TU" unit about that time.

Getting rare now, and cheap tax etc...
Lots of Motors, mostly semi broken....

Scrap value, unless its in very good nick, & then it might be worth more but how much would be anyone's guess for a car that has no mot.

I'd go with the comments above, but I'd add that you need to consider the cost of returning it to the road carefully as although rare and cheap to keep on the road 14's don't seem to fetch much more when on the road unless in really good condition. Having said that, if it's going to be a keeper then I'd say go for it if the body's good as I've foung mine to be one of the best bargains I've ever bought!

Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

He's doing pretty brisk trade yeah. although largely from us he gets chopped up 4x4's and bus stuff.
I've still got 3 BX's to send down, but I knowing my luck by the time I get round to it scrap will be £3 a tonne!

2 of them no, they are pretty much just bare shells now, even then I'll be cutting out varoious bits before they go to China.
One of them yes, and as per all the other BX's I've scrapped, that will be stripped, nut and bolt, and the remains sent over the bridge.
