Wanted Top speedo Cable for a 1989 14RE

Had no nick it off for the Leader which goes in the morning but bloody cable broke coming back from test so needed 1 sharpish and so i took it off my Dads old 14RE temporarily as all the cables ive got were the wrong length.

If you have a spare cable longer than the broken one why not just shorten it to fit, measure the length of the broken one mark it on the spare, run some solder (or braze) onto the new one at the required length, chop it off with a sharp chisel and anvil then hammer or grind a square on the end and you're back in business.

I used to have a proper Pickavant tool for this job but I sold it on Ebay recently when having a clear out. Gibbo.

Still urgently required Long upper cable for BX 1989.
Tried M.Lockwood and he hasnt got one .
