GTI 8V

Email sent to me today! via bxtim@citroencarclub.org.uk

An independent Citroen and
classic car engineer here whom I know well, has a BX GTi for sale. It is
an 8v 1.9 GTi in good condition that has only done a few miles since its
MOT (now just expired). It is an H reg car in, I think, anthracite (it
looks like a mid-grey ). He is looking for £300 and has just refused
£200. His name is Ian Moss of Moss Motors, and his work number is 01453 885097.
There's nothing you can tell him about BX's. He'd rather sell it
to a Citroen than a Peugeot fan but I don't think he wants to wait long
because it is taking up room.

That's a stroud / stroud valleys number isn't it?

Do you have anymore info about the car and it's history?

I can look at it for anyone, take some pics and report back - it's at the bottom of Hyde Hill, Chalford, Stroud.

Just do the "that? ive had that AGES" line, works for me, they say oh right, and then change the subject.

I can't do the had it ages - although it is the same colour as the 16tgs.

So, it's silver/grey metallic. Bodily, looking good - no rust at rear doors or front inner wings - door hinges look good too.

Interior is tidy, was MoT'd last year and has done no mileage since - no battery so didn't hear it running, but Ian says it won't idle properly - so needs injectors cleaned or replaced, I would reckon.

103,000 miles, and looking nice. I'd buy it if I had the space ...

He has been offered money by a Pug owner - but that would be a shame.

Has a towbar too.
