I must agree with the 'keep it' voices. Two Land Rovers is your problem! You can't really go wrong with flogging a Disco, given that they're hugely popular as engine donors if nothing else.

Are you sure there's not an ulterior motive here? :-k You don't happen to know someone who may be after an engine donor in the future do you?

Interesting, your bought another knackered off roader Ian? Will there be a V8 available or have you been sensible and bought a diesel?

Sorry for thread hijack spanners ;)

I suspect I'd be after too much for the Disco too-certainly just for an engine anyway. Strangely, with 10 months MOT, 6 months tax, new cambelt, front brakes etc, it's gotta be worth a few quid anyway? Swap it for a Legacy estate or diesel XM mind....

Shit, I've just hijacked my own thread, how did that happen?!

Even ropey Discos seem to fetch decent coin, though you really want snow on the ground to guarantee top dollar and a swift sale!

Okay, after about a week of not trying too hard to sell the old girl, I've changed my mind and decided to keep her!

Thanks for the advice peeps, you kind of persuaded me really. :D

Bollocks is probably the best word I can use right now!

Situations change etc etc, blah blah and I've decided I really can't justify keeping the old girl after all.

The Disco's gone and been replaced by a Xantia HDi for everyday use, the rest of the time I use the Ami. So, consequently, the BX is just sitting on the driveway looking forlorn.

Sadly, I really have got to bite the bullet and move her on. So, with this in mind, I'd let her go for £350 with all the BX specific spares!

I will not remove any parts from her for seperate sale and, on the offchance that she sells on here, I shall dissappear in case the purchaser (should a purchase occur of course) decides to break her-I can't bear to think of that and certainly wouldn't want to read about it or see pictures!!!

Please somebody, take her on and give her a chance-MOT October, tax end August.

Cheers.

An even better idea - buy my Saab 9000 and then I can buy Spanners' BX!

Wonderful car. But it is not a BX. Which is why it's for sale!

Aha, it's free listing weekend on Ebay tomorrow and Sunday-looks like the old girl (sans spares) shall be going on there this weekend unless anybody on here wants to make me an offer on her?

Well, it's either that or I keep thinking about making some kind of strange hybrid involving the BX running gear and my old racing 2CV..................
