TZD in London

I am half tempted to jump on a train and drive this back.

Just look at the mileage....

Shiny ... I know you really wanted a hatch, but if it's a big dog you have, they're really not good on head room in the back.

Yes, it does look well. Anyone nearby wiling to have a look. £250, probably cheaper than the train ticket to get down there.

I'm very tempted. Parking is an issue where i live though, already three cars and a motorbike from this household, think the neighbours bit get pi^&ed off with another car arriving.

I've emailed the owner

I might just have to buy it on spec like I did the Rover :!:

Response

"There is someone coming tomorrow who says they want to buy the car, but if that falls through then I'll let you know."

We wait....

That looks very good indeed - good luck. I was going to cast doubt on the mileage, but for that price and in that apparent condition, who cares?

I'm surprised anyone (who is after a diesel estate, of course) would have hesitated for one second. Seems a complete steal.

Hi guys, firstly a big thank you for promoting this car on here! I'm the seller, and ended up being inundated with responses! The car has now gone to a happy new owner.

I had no idea that the BX was so popular, with offers to buy it from France, Wales and a special mention to Gavin willing to travel from the Rep of Ireland!

Sorry to all of you who missed out!

Many thanks again,

Dave.

PS What's wrong with the sunroof Ken?! And scarecrow, as hard as it is to believe a 20+ year old car with 50k on the clock, it is actually genuine!

The BX estate was never designed to be fitted with a sunroof. From past experience with them the aftermarket kit couldn't cope with the distance between the inner roof lining and outer shell, as a result they usually keep popping apart, other than that no problem.

Like I said in my previous post, the car was a gift! did someone on here buy it?

It's my pet paranoia - probably because it's the only part I think I understand of the buying process :)

Ahh I see. Well this one always seemed fine, but I assume it was a transplant from another car as it had a different manufacturer's badge on it (possibly Renault, I forget!)

I don't believe the new owner is from this fine club, he just wants a cheap diesel car for work.
