Agreed - I've had various ones of these. Some were ok, some were utter rubbish – when I took them apart they didn't actually have proper CV joints, just a glorified Hardy-Spicer type joint.mat_fenwick wrote: Strange what you have found with the one piece shaft - would suggest that this is a non standard pattern part.
I've used shafts from my old petrol TRS in the TD with no problems at all - a good genuine Petrol/NA diesel shaft may well be slightly weaker than a similar TD/GT shaft, but it'll still be better than a cheap replacement.
