4sale BX GTI 4x4 only 82kmiles

Post by BX4x4 »

My first post, finally got around to put my classic car up 4 sale, where this rare example would be appreciated.
Yes only done 82k miles in black, Citroen expert in Lewis did comment its one of the few that really pulls well and accelerate well for a 8 valve GTI.
Been in storage for 8 years, no rust was wax oiled before storage. Service record with one in done in France. really sad to see it go but not finding time for it and storage in London is not cheap, located in London.
Bad points exhaust need attention, abs not working, spare wheel sensor incluided among other spare parts.
Suspension in excellent condition as a results of not been on salt roads! Photos to follow. Any interest?

Correct No MOT, first register March 1990, last MOT in 2004, on checking my records I bought it in 2003 and was last on the road in 2004. Been running it twice year. Will take some pics on the weekend, weather permitted. £600,00 ONO : :?:

Hi. Rare and no mistake, but as many will tell you, an exhaust will be nigh on impossible to find, so it gets expensive when having to consider an SS system (bespoke, that is). Coupled with the fragility of the transmission, even with the best will in the world (and with no MOT) I think you'll have to be a lot less ambitious on price... But best of luck :)

Luck would help but would appreciate direction to real life value, or is it condemned to scrap value?

Certainly not scrap! Low mileage is one thing, but desirability and rarity counts for a lot.

The BX 4x4 is a rare beats these days, and if yours has a working drive system thats good, I do think as its beenoff the road for 9 years, has no MOT and as Phil said needs an exhaust which are not available unless you have one made £600 may be a tad sharp.
Lots of Motors, mostly semi broken....

No I just used the TZD, because it's more economical, would amazine the exhaust would be the main problem.

On seriose note can some one confirm was the 4x4 fitted with a limted slip rear diff?, mine has got the switch to lock the center diff and it works
