FS: Power bulge bonnet

Post by Vanny »

I bought this from Robin last year, and having finally fitted it to the BX I decided I simply didn't like it. I love the grill, but just can't cope with the power bulge.

The pics (below) where taken mid rain, so aren't the greatest. It is painted EJX and is in overall good condition though has a few chips in the paint here and there, mostly on the grill section.

Panel fit is pretty good, but requires the CAR side of the hinges to be padded a few mm.

For sale at £80

Collection from Coventry (M6J2) I absolutely will not post (mostly because I don't trust that I can wrap it successfully). Preference will be given to whom ever can collect the soonest!

Personally I think it would look better in white or triton green, possibly with a Postert bumper.

I thought this was the barryboys website?

Seriously though, given that the bonnet was probably made mid 80's, and the Impreza didn't arrive until 1994 ish, it must be a 8 years ahead of the intake scoop addiction of the 90's?

I suspect you might have a similar issue to me then, the bonnet is EJX, but the car is the rather old battered 'pink' shade of EJX

It'd fit all BX's. It's a genuine citroen accessory.
I have zero patience for your tedium.

When I was in my teens I used to play in a band where the bass player used to 'amend' the inside of his skin tight leather trousers with a large piece of foam gaffa taped to his groin - he thought he looked 'the bollocks' (so to speak) I thought he looked ridiculous. Wouldn't putting that bonnet on any BX that didn't have the commensurate 'bollocks' to really need a 'power bulge' look similarly daft?
