Diesel Rev Counter flywheel pick up
Although the TZD isnt mine anymore the rev counter is still dicky, it works when cold but after 10 mins it stops, so probably failing. Are they available?

Probably, as was fitted to many other PSA vehicles. Part no. is 591875 and (back in 2004!) cost about £15.

Re: Diesel Rev Counter flywheel pick up
It could be just a wire breaking up (which just needs re-soldering) normally either side of the male/female block connectors (Located just around/above the cam-cover) hopefully it may just be that !Roverman wrote:Although the TZD isnt mine anymore the rev counter is still dicky, it works when cold but after 10 mins it stops, so probably failing. If its not the /\ , it may just need the fly-wheel sensor removing to clean up the magnetic face and then 'Correctly re-gaping' and hopefully it may come back to normal service !
I can explain how to set the gap correctly for the new owner (If you pass on my phone number to him) as it not so easy to explain it in words !
