Wanted please a rear height correcter.

Post by bx petrol auto saloon »

Dear All.
I had noticed that once the black rubber " dust " cover that sits over the piston, inside the rear height correcter, had popped off . I wiped it clean and popped it back on.
This seemed to cure it for a while, but I hadn,t noticed if it was still leaking, as my drive
way at that particular spot is still rather covered in old L.H.M :) But unfortunately Andy
has just notified me that she is still leaking a small amount of L.H.M. :!:
Firstly, I was wondering if they are available " new " anywhere :?: or do they have to
be a secondhand one :?: or is it only available in repair kit form :?: and where I may be
able to source one from please, I would be really grateful for any leads on this, would be
terriffic  :D
Secondly, I was wondering if anyone has a " few " of the small little metal clips, that
hold the plastic wheel trims on :?: They are the same wheel trims that Jane has. ) I am
in dire need of " Three ", but I too would like to have a small amount for emergency
supply  Secondhand ones would be more than adequate, that I could kindly pur-
chase if possible :D
I asked Andy to put a drain tray underneath the L.H.M leak
Any help on these items, would be very grateful indeed :D Many Thanks.
Vince.

the H/C its self very seldom need to be replaced,
all is usually required is new diaphragms, they are very easy to strip , clean and re/assemble,

just watch which order the bits come apart in

Dear Malcolm.
Firstly thank-you so very very much Malcolm, for your kind reply :D I am really pleased
about not having to replace the height correcter, when I was under there putting the
dust cover back on, I cleaned the height correcter and I thought how clean it was ext-
ernally :) no rust at all
Do I need to be ringing Pleiades then Malcolm  :?:
Many thanks Macolm.
Take Care.
