Mk1 offside wing morror for Free

Post by dumbtime »

Offside wing mirror for a Mk1 BX.

Price: Free
Collection Only.

I've had this for a while now and need to get rid of it since I haven't had a BX for many years now. It's in full working order but it does have a small hole on the inside edge of the mirror housing. It's not visible to people looking from the outside, but you might be able to see it when sat in the drivers seat.

I live in Bristol, so send a PM to arrange collection.

Thanks

Andy,

Sorry to be a kill joy, but I'll have to say no. It's not just the money but the only time I have to get to a post office is a Saturday morning and it always has a half hour queue which I wouldn't be able to tolerate since I'm usually recovering from the night before.

Andy - I'm heading to Wiltshire at the weekend so will be passing through Bristol and may be able to scoop it up for you. Can then either post it or bring it to a meet at some point.

That would be fantastic Ian,
however dont put yourself to too much trouble, only if it is an easy pick up.

maybe you could send it via this lot

http://www.collectplus.co.uk/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

package dimensions/weight are 50 X 30 X 30cm and up to 10kg £4.99

the sender pay's for and print's out a postage label then takes it to a store that is convenient to them in there usual daily movements, and in the post code area that they are in and about,

then the reciver collects at the store they have selected by entering there post code into the box on the web site,

i have used them several times now you can drop off and collect at whatever time the store you select is open,
quite often 11pm

Thanks for trying Ian,

guess the guy will just have to keep it for a bit longer. Bit suprised though that he cant be bothered to try and post it. Such is life.

Well, it is free! And I can kind of understand his point - for me it's a 10 mile round trip to the nearest post office from work, so that's the lunch break gone plus fuel costs. But maybe if there's more cash in it for him he'll change his mind?

Thats true Mat.
However he did offer it up on the forum for free, not me. I have put myself out more than once supplying bits for free to forum members even if it did involve a trip by car to the local post office and i will continue to do so without reserve. I feel its something i can do to help other members keep their BXs on the road. I have also sold stuff here too. Just feel that if he cant be bothered to help, then i wont offer any dosh other than postage costs. I havnt ever charged a forum member such costs when ive given them items, just glad to help.

I'll try a PM. Like I say, I'll be passing through Bristol (well, passing by Bristol) at the weekend.

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you, I've been super busy this week. Plus I don't get on the internet much as it's is not routine for me. I've replied to Ian's PM and will be happy to pass it on to him.
