Breaking J reg diesel estate (now scrapped)
EDIT
The car has now gone, as well as parts that people have asked for I've removed the lights, rear section of exhaust, 2 front spheres and o/s mirror if anyone needs them. I'm getting another BX so I'm not desperate to get rid of spares.
I'm gutted but I knew it would happen sooner rather than later, Chumley is dead. If the shell was in good nick I'd drop a new engine in but the rot in the bulkhead is pretty terminal and hes a bit twisted at the front from hitting a stone wall before I got him. I have a tame local scrapman so I'm hoping to have him taken there and left a week or so to get the bits off before he goes on the heap
Any bits anyone needs before he gets scrapped? I can post small bits or collect from Ludlow
yes the tech weekend is still on, just I'll be tinkering with something else.

Re: Breaking J reg diesel estate
Sorry to hear this, but hey, it happens.
Might well be some stuff I'm after - some decent wheels for a start (if they've got decent tyres, so much the better!). I shall try and think of anything else I might need.

Re: Breaking J reg diesel estate
is the rear wiper switch black if so Im interested ,
I understand the estate ones wipe more than once i.e. you have to switch them on and off if so I am deffinately interested ,
( is it a straight swap ?)
if all of the above can I have a price including p+p please

Could you PM me a price for the rear wiper motor and arm please? I can collect from Ludlow next month if that's OK.

Re: Breaking J reg diesel estate
He's being picked up today and the scrapman is ok about me raiding a few bits before he gets chucked on the heap, if everyone just shouts out parts for the moment we'll work out prices afterwards. My heads spinning a bit as our Austin is off the road with the engine in bits and the VW has electrical problems so Ms C won't drive it and I'm only parking at the top of hills.
I'd be well up for buying the red baron if it was nearer but I really can't make it over there quickly enough.
^ It had a new lower cable a couple of years back, I'll whip it off
Pump for Mulley
Wheels for DW
Wiper bits
not sure its worth getting the rear suspension cylinders as they're not that great (sinks quickly) and they'll be a faff to remove

Re: Breaking J reg diesel estate
If it's not too late could I please have the little rubber plug which holds the black cover over the front wiper mechanism; also a few of the screws (M8 I think with a Torx head) which hold the trim onto the tailgate. Thanks!
What's up with the VW?

Re: Breaking J reg diesel estate
Back again, not sure whats up with the VW Matt, possibly just bad connections but sometimes the electrics are completely dead Ms C wouldn't drive it before it started playing up
