Welcome Edmund. Gotta agree with the others - my dream BX is a Hurricane, but what's under the bonnet and condition have to be more important. I think you can still get away - with BXs - with deciding on a colour you won't buy (for me, that's white - they look gorgeous, but I have no undercover parking so the car would just always look filthy) - but setting your heart on exact spec is a good way to get frustrated and have to wait way too long.

Good luck though :)

Then the bumpers wouldn't match....

Only 2 red BXs? I thought there were more than that!

And 'Caffiend' not too fussed by what's under the bonnet, I can handle that. It's the perfect base of a car I would like to start from. A total restoration though I would like to avoid!! (This time).

Wish I had never sold my last BX now, didn't appreciate how 'new' it felt. Nothing rattled or squeeked (I thought all BXs must be like this!)

How do you upload pics? Anyone?

Mine doesn't usually, but after arriving late at the ICCCR it was deemed that it required a late night polishing session...

BTW, the file path has to be one that's accessible by anyone. Not for example a file on your computer, or a website you need membership access to :wink:

Decent BX's are so rare now, you cant be picky on the colour, took me ages to get the right one and then it wasnt my first colour choice!

edmundhill685 wrote:Dear all. Just joined the BX club today, don't know why so late though.

I used to have a silver BX 14RE (2 years or so ago), and have been offered a red 19D, but I want a blue BX! These don't seem to come around very often... does anyone know of one that might be up for sale soon? Ideally should be another 14, though would consider a 17TD or 19D, can't be any fussier than blue!! Though I think I would pass if it were an automatic. The perfect car sold on here / ebay end of last year!

My Ami 6 saloon is doing my head in currently and should've been laid up for winter ages ago. Miss the overwhelming comfyness.

Welcome Edmund and I think you are quite right to at least ask for a blue one if that is your prefered colour, the chances of an instant hit are slim but if you don't ask you won't stand a chance. At the end of the day colour is a very important factor in your satisfaction of owning a car, I personally hate red BX's (althought there are some nice ones in the piccies above) and would not consider one under any circumstances. I wanted another silver one but they have evaded me when I was looking so currently own a white one and this one;

Oh my goodness that's absolutely beautiful! :O

Even the grey bumpers match it perfectly! And it's diesel! Would've offered a swap if i still had my old silver one; that was equally as clean and beautiful.

The one on the left is my Olympic Blue 16TRS and the other is Jane's aka "Merlyn" Ice Blue 16TXI Auto.

It took me a while to get olympic blue car (my fave colour), it wasnt the spec (19TZS would be my first choice) I wanted so fitted alloys, better bumpers, better interior etc, thankfully the car itself was pretty mint with 43000 miles and is rust free.

PS Can anyone spot BX number 3? :wink:
