Well I wasn't going to comment on this private matter but having read the original post I don't think i've seen a more honest advert with either the desription or the detailed photo's and reading the gentlemanly agreed payment terms I would guess the car was actually sold to someone who can't afford it so now hopes to make more money breaking it rather than sell it as an on-going project.

Please bare in mind how many BX's are left on the road these days compared to what they once were, the Meteor is a rare old bus now adays, I am sure with the right owner this could be a car to be proud of and would be a shame to break it considering the amount of work Mick put into it,

I have never questioned the sale at any point.

The car isnt being scrapped now but the trims and headrests have been sold.

I hear all this and that but havent done anything untoward and do not expect to be pm'd by a guy who doesnt even know me, i do not care what this guy thinks

The car advert was fine and if I had a problem I would have rang mick.

the car has many problems

it seems you do not believe me etc and you have driven it and worked on it but guys , I have a list from two different garages plus numerous people i know in trade have had a look.

Its my hard earned money , and i have spent a few quid too.

That's great news Adam, that it's not being scrapped. I agree it's hard to see your cash eaten by a car and it's tempting to throw the towel in and say sod it. I think most were sad to see such a good example going to the scrap.
Just for interests sake, have you decided to keep it or sell it on?
Remember there are loads of folk on here more than willing to help with car issues and you may well get an idiosyncrasy ironed out that 'normal' mechanics have no knowledge of.

You've mentioned the fact that it has problems, but you haven't posted up any of the issues? We are a friendly bunch on here & may be able to help you out & prioritise what actually needs doing as opposed to what someone who's just after your money is saying.

If you have zero spannering skills, perhaps this is your opportunity to start or if you always maintain cars at garages, i'd suggest that you never buy an old car of any sorts as the repair/maintenance bills from garages can easily run into the hundreds every year.

Good news it isn't being scrapped though :)
