mmm..if its a risk yr willing to take, in short yes yr car will pull it but it will be very overweight (and illegal),my trailer weighs about 700kg add bx estate 1700kg, the max towed weight for a bx is approx 900kg, i am in the same predicament, if it were 20 miles down the road for me i would risk it, but its a 270 mile round trip. and looking about £200+ to have it collected, not a cost i can swallow unfortunately, i have access to a 7.5 ton truck but would still have a prob getting it in the back.

Ive asked shiply to look into it, just need to get it running first though, dont fancy them dragging it on to the back of a flat bed on its bump stops and taking most of the undercarriage with me!

Though of this thread last night....was going through some old BX road tests and press cuttings, and low & behold.....a mk1 19TRS Estate on test! C plater, but the article was black and white so couldn't tell what colour.

The plan is to ride down to Taunton a week Monday with Paul296 and RXBX and between us get the old girl going so it can be moved to Tom's for a short while until I can get it either transported back up or maybe MOT'ed locally and driven back.

I just hope nothings seized as its been in a dry garage! [-o<

Got the go ahead from my frindly towing uncle for Monday 11th, also got an open go ahead for the trailer just need to let the bloke know we're doing it Monda week. I best get this garage sorted now!
