Wanted: Hurricane style front wing trim

Post by BX Bandit »

I think the Hurricane has the same profile as the 16v trims, but I'm after the smaller/shorter Hurricane style ones, rather than 16v ones.
Maybe they were on a Meteor and Athena models too? They need to be the painted type please.

I think you mean the plastic bit that is stuck over the trailing edge of the wing, and painted body colour.

Which side?

Yes that's it, about 2 inches long as a guess. I'm after both sides please!

Hi,

I have a n/s wing for a BX16V with the plastic trim bit still attached.
is this what you are after?

Whats the best way to remove the trim part?

The wing is not in great condition, so I could just cut it down around the plastic bit so it would fit in the post.

Hi Mike,

Initially it's not quite what I'm after as I'm not sure how the 16v finisher you are offering would look without the sill skirts. I think it would look like it's jutting out.
Although, I have a 16v o/s one, so if this is ok with you, I'll play with the one I have here and see what it looks like. Are you ok to hold onto the part for me time being please?

Many thanks

No problem.

I thaught the Hurricane shared the whole body kit with the 16V version.

I need to revise my BX trim level knowledge.

I could be wrong Mike but I think it shares the same 16v body except the sills, the rear wheel arch and front wing finisher
