Fixed! It wasn't an octopus pipe thankfully.. not sure what all the hydraulic gubbins does but it was attached to a metal block just above the octopus, seemed to return fluid to the reservoir when the suspension was dropped. Stuck a new bit of pipe in and good as gold. Took the chance to swap out the suspension drop link that had been driving me up the wall with its clonking as well. Of course, now the radiator has sprung a leak.. reckon I can handle that though. Sorry for any false hopes, but I'll be keeping Bruce for now :)

Good news, nice cheap fix!
Lots of Motors, mostly semi broken....
