Hi Gary, thanks for the reply. He's a bit far from me but when I get things sorted I will hopefully look him up & try to arrange something. I still have to get the car resprayed & tidied up yet.

Also something else I Might need: - The fuel filler pipe.

If you've read my other thread "new member with little niggles" Then the fault with the fuel filler pipe was a split in it, I have pieced it together with another piece & a metal tube between them, However its still dripping fuel out past the jubilee clips. Unless I can just tighten them up more or put stronger clips on.

did you use conventional jubilee clips, if so it is best to use proper fuel line slips, as jubilee clips do not tighten flat against the pipe

I've only found this to be a problem in practice with small diameter pipe under pressure (although I generally use the proper fuel pipe clips wherever possible). But if this is the fuel filler pipe leaking, a jubilee clip will be fine - the larger diameter of the pipe means the flat area where the screw sits is of no consequence. Plus there is no pressure in the pipe.

If it's the standard filler (without the extra tank) then Chevronics have them in stock - not cheap mind!

Hi all, Thanks for all the replies.
Its standard jubilee clips I have used, Although they are not the best I have seen so could probably be doing with some better ones on. Where do you get "proper fuel line slips" from & what do they look like? (my inexperience showing again).

Yes its a standard filler; When I pulled the parts off the 4x4 car I couldn't get the extra tank to undo, So I just thought 'put my pipe to the tank', & apart from the leak that theory worked.

Who are Chevronics & where do I find them? (sorry for all the dumb questions).

I have decided - I hate plumbing!

Just search eBay for fuel pipe CLIPS and you will see pictures, available from any motor factors. They are completely round rather than round with a flat section like jubilee clips, but as already mentioned only applicable to small bore hoses. Difficult to link as on my phone, but Chevronics are a garage/parts supplier down south, Google will find them

Hi Again all, Just to bump up the wanted list, I am still looking for some parts:

-Right front Silver wing with meteor stickers attached.
-2x 5.5j alloy wheels in silver.
-Full A/C System.
-Small rubber top bumper end trim for the RH side (the small one near the wheel arch).

Hi Again all, Just to bump up the wanted list again, I am still looking for the following parts:

- Speedline alloy wheels 2x 5.5J OR 3x 6.0J
- Right front Silver wing with meteor stickers attached.
- Full A/C System.

I have found some BX interior & odd exterior parts in the shed (that I didn't know I had) that I would be willing to swap for some of the wanted parts.
These include:
- A Dash (condition unknown, not looked properly)
- Black grille
- Lots of internal plastics (some damaged, again not looked exactly what is what)
- Heater blower fan
- Glovebox (no lid)
- Plastic that goes above front wiper motor.
- Wiper & headlight switches

There could be more. I will have to dig them out & have a proper look.

Hi, Thanks for the reply. I might be; depending on price & location. I am still unemployed so am unable to give too much for them. But having 5 would be useful, especially with the car being a 4x4.

If you can't get a wing with the Meteor stickers on I've heard through the Visa forum of a guy who has a set of stickers to sell. He's recently sold another Visa owner a pair of wings on Ebay, and he has other stuff, including the stickers, that he's planning to ebay in the next few weeks. if you search Citroen Visa Wings under Completed listings you should be able to find him and hopefully message him about them if you're interested.
