Drivers Door Latch

Post by Tim Leech »

For the estate, I need the drivers door latch mechanism with a 3 pin wire and plug coming from it, for cars without door open warning display.

Thanks

Cheers bud, its just the standard BX door latch mechanism, that the lock, and drivers handle attach too, on a car with central locking it has a wiring loom coming from it with either two or three wires.

Got one Tim but it has both a 2 pin and a 3 pin socket on it.
Ive put a piccy on your f/b page as its easier than putting one on here.

As you were, thanks to andy for posting a picture up on facebook, I hadnt realised that the lock solenoid has TWO connections, as it is mounted on the inside of the door frame I couldnt see it, anyway I popped the door panel off and hey presto it just needed connecting. The spare wire from the latch must be for the door open warning display which my car doesnt have so is not used.

Thanks Andy!

Actually Tim, you may have inadvertantly done me a favour as well as the door opening warning is always on in my TZD so i reccon its because its not connected up.

Will check this when the weather dries up a bit. Bet that's the problem.
