Breaking 16TRS

Post by Gary C »

F plate Blanc cremant (Ambrosia rice pudding colour) with straw tweed upholstery (superb condition) and parcel shelf with 2 x pull up screens. Brown dash with single spoke steering wheel. Engine runs nicely, belt change 6k ago, auto box - smooth. Central locking, electric windows, electric tilt/slide glass sunroof with perspex deflector. All parts to go except headlamps, indicators, door panels, wings, bonnet. Lovely car, it is a shame to break it.

Can "swap" doors etc for similar if this cream colour is required for your car. They will be painted white anyway.

Car is near Gatwick.

Right I thought it would be difficult, but I shall ask then. But if I can't find one I could try to dye it. But hopefully I won't have to :D

Hang on chaps... Your like vultures! Would be nice to see if the car can be saved. Bryn the 16 and 19 models had different wheel trims though.

I'd hazard a guess at a front end smash if the headlights, indicators, bonnet and wings aren't available.

I've PM'd like a dirty great vulture too about seat covers but would withdraw and encourage the seller to sell whole if someone wanted the whole car to put on the road.

It's being broken to help keep Gary's race car on the track. I guess if someone came along with the bits that he needs instead, he may be persuaded not to break? This is pure conjecture.

Aww, didn't think good cars were still broken to keep others on the road.

Is he reselling the 16 v? If not I'm sure someone has plenty of parts about .

The 16 has been picked up to supply parts for the race car (as per Rob C). 2013 season was tough on Bertie and he sustained a lot of damage. All 4 doors damaged, both wings, bonnet, both bumpers, sill, rear arch, driveshaft, bottom arm, drop links, radiator, etc. He was patched up after each race to keep him going but he now needs a thorough sorting out.

It is a shame to break such a good car and I have tried to find spare parts and asked on the 16v site as well as lurking here and ebay watching for anything that may be of use. Purchasing everything in one lump fairly locally rather than picking up odd bits from all corners of the kingdom makes sense to me.

How much is an auto box 16 TRS with no tax or mot and a knackered alternator worth? How much is an auto box 16 TRS with tax and mot worth? Is anyone in the market for a 16 TRS? It has 60k on the clock and a service book which tallies with the mileage.

The upholstery colour combo is surprisingly quite nice and is probably enhanced by the different textures. NB the boot carpet and plastic trim pieces are black.

Tim does your GT have the tweed interior?

No prob was just wondering if Blanc C cars all had tweed trim or perhaps it was for TRS spec cars. Not familiar with BX models other than the 16v and I can only recall two different trim specs for them.
