Wanted - Drivers door

Hi, my friend in Ipswich has had many Citroens over the years and has been using a N/A BX diesel estate for several years and loves it, but sadly someone has just attempted to crowbar the drivers door open while it was parked near his house. There is a lot of damage to the door (and also some to the rear door) and although the car runs well and he had invested money in new suspension bearings etc, it is a bit tired and he is unsure for it's future.

Does anyone have a drivers door (ideally silver) for a 1993 BX estate? If he could get one then hopefully he will be able to keep it on the road rather than give up on it.

Sorry, not able to help with the door but curious why this incident happened? Was something left on display in the car that they were after for instance? It doesn't seem like they wanted to drive the car away if they were prepared to totally break the lock. :?

Yes I wonder, no news from him yet, but normally he is very careful after having a load of stuff pinched while parked in a Calais supermarket car park a few years ago...

sorry for not replying sooner. I'm in Bourne Lincolnshire.The paint code i have on the car is ETP
just collected our latest acquisition which is a 1990 grey tzd done 79000 miles.

We have a white drivers door in my lock up I think?
