Ive decided to sell my arm rest the fairest way-on ebay.
I had a few folks intersested last year when i mentioned i had one on this forum.
I know its very rare so ill do a 99p start with no reserve, i reckon that way it will fetch its true value.

I take it that black vinyl isn't original and perhaps covers grey tweed or similar?

The vinyl's not original, no. They're pretty easy to retrim, so I doubt it's just been pulled over the top of the original fabric (which is likely to be the 16v/early GTi type black ribbed thin stuff).

I was actually hoping they would go for more too!! They may well go for more next time, as the winning bidder bid for a friend (whos not on ebay) and has now decided to scrap his BX so doesnt need the arm rest. I will probabally re-list soon.
