Post by benofbrum »

Just been looking on ebay for Metro spares and came across this shop which has a selection of spares for older Citroens, including BX:

Brought bx bits from these guys a few times they are certainly cheap but pattern bits, motaquip as i recall, i got a few sensors for the gti, they worked which is all that matters.

Motaquip was, until about 3 years ago, PSA owned. It was their factor division, so cheaper to buy the bits in a Motaquip box than a Citroen or Peugeot box!

But be warned - Jollygoodcarspares can sell you something which is NOT as advertised. I got an o/s drive shaft described as 'new', well it was not. A couple of new CV boots and a knackered new intermediate bearing, with wear on the splines do not a new drive shaft make....

So caveat emptor and hassle the shite out of them if they fob you off, even if unintentionally.

I used to have a LOT of my parts from them, but they went downhill a couple of years ago and now I think they're jst overstretching.

Parts are often wrong, not in Stock or poor quality cheapos (despite expecting something specific), mostly though, when it goes wrong, their service just sucks like a Dyson factory.
I have zero patience for your tedium.
