BX 17RD top hose wanted

Post by jrdpod »

I'm after the above part for a 1987 (D) non turbo diesel.

I bid for one on ebay, but was outbid at the last moment.

Can anyone help in sourcing this part?

I live in Colchester, Essex.

Many thanks,
John Podgorski.

Have you tried GSF? They are usually the best factor for BX parts.

They also have a website: http://www.gsfcarparts.com/

Top hose is listed in the Quinton Hazell catalogue - so your friendly accessory shop may be able to get one for you.

I can confirm that QH sell these hoses from most motorfactors.

I've just bought top and bottom hoses for mine. I think the top one was £16.

Main stealer wanted over £40.

Top tip Jeremy!

QH are putting their catalogues on the net and loads are now available for download. Interesting for answering those 'Will it fit' queries as well as knowing who can supply what.

Of course it won't help with - 'This hose looks like a Ford one with the end chopped off - I think I've got one in the store' response which we all like to get.

Ian
Was the bottom hose you bought (for your Tzd?) WITHOUT a T-piece.
Citroen want over £40 for such a type.

Gareth, it was for the GTi auto.

You can get the t piece ones too though.

The QH downloadable catalogue has the original Citroen part numbers so you can make sure you're getting the right bit.

I'm sure to have one of these. If you're still looking for one and don't mind a used one.
They think it's all over, it is now!
