OK Tim. I know what you mean it does deserve a garage. I dont have a garage but I suppose it has the advantage of being used a lot, and therefore maintained a lot. Im starting to have second thoughts about selling it anyway  It really does look the part. I cant decide what to do. If I can get some storage I might hold onto it. The guy I got the CX off had it stored outside for about £5 a month, and he said that they also have inside storage for about £30 a month, so if I can go ahead with that, I might keep it, but then thats £30 I could save each month for the time im not using it that could be saved up to buy something just as rare etc. Arrrh, what to do, its so frustrating.

Umm. No I dont really Mulley. My one friend with a garage uses it for his own car. I have stored a in my grandmas garage before, but I could tell she hated it being there (even though she never walks over the space the car occupied or stores anything in there lol). She was glad when I sugested moving it. Im not sure what to do now really. If it sells on here, so be it, but if not, I might keep it, but ill have to see how it works out.

Im in the same situation Adam, my aunt has a huge double garage which is completely empty and doesnt ever get used but says its inconvenient to have a car in there!

Ive offered her money to use it but she says shes needs the space incase she needs to store something!

Forget ever trying to reason with old folk as they are on a different planet & worry about nonsensicle things, like Tim mentioned "ooh i might need the space". FOR WHAT?????

You will never get a reasonable, rational or sensible answer, they just dont want anyone using their space.

Adam, cant u convince your mate that his motor is shite & that yours is worth a small fortune due to its rarity & that a couple of crates of beer will see him sorted, or is he a selfish citroen hating soon not to be friends ever again sort of mate!!!! lol

Tell me about it Mulley. Its pointless trying to reason with them. Technically, I could probably ask her if I could leave it there tomorrow and she'd say yes, but upon every visit, there would be some sort of remark about it being there, or a moan if I had to start it or even open the garage door. The neighbour is even more of a concern lol. Last time I had a car there, I took it out of the garage to clean, and I think I became his new television for a few hours. Couldnt work out whether he was watching me in disgust or just because nothing ever happens outside his house usually lol.

Adam, ask if you could leave it there & then never tell when you are popping round to run engine or whatever, she will probably never know & of course you will always be too busy if she asks you to collect & take away.

Perhaps nosy neighbour was unsettled by you washing car topless!!! lol

Good luck with whatever you decide, is there no one in the club that could potentially store it for you?

Adam,

I shouldnt tell everyone this in a public place but near me is an old forces airfield, now used for chicken farming and such stuff. I rent a building there with space for 6 cars in. It costs me just over 300 quid a year.

There are more avilable if anyone wants one. You will need to fit your own garage door to the front and security at windows and decent door locks is an idea.

Anyone local wants more details feel free to PM me, and before anyone asks, mine is full im afraid :-)
I know you are a fair distance away but you could always club together with a more local BX club member and get one, Heck i might even be interested in a share in one myself :-)

Hi Mulley. Not as such, but I have arranged to view the space that Matt (Stinkwheel) has talked about for future projects etc. As it stands, I need to sell the BX whatever happens as it dawned on me that I have 3 cars and no money lol! I might try and fix the oil leak as that way it will be more saleable, and then ill stick it on ebay with a £300 reserve I think.
